Kelly Nierstedt is President of Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and Senior Vice President, Orlando Region. As the visionary leader of one of the largest hospitals in the nation, Kelly is responsible for developing, leading, and implementing the strategic and operational direction at Orlando Health ORMC, home to Central Florida's only Level One Trauma Center and Orlando Health’s Air Care Team hospital-based flight program.
Committed to the organization’s mission of improving the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities served, Kelly is known as a trailblazer for expanding care and access to services for those who need it the most while providing the highest level of clinical care to deliver nation-leading outcomes. She is a champion for promoting diversity and gender equity throughout the organization.
Prior to her current role, Kelly served as president of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, where her passion for women’s health culminated in the opening of Orlando Health Women’s Pavilion – Winter Park, the first of its kind in Central Florida. The hospital also secured a $2.54 million grant to reduce health disparities in pregnant/postpartum minority women and established a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide healthy meals for at-risk pregnant women.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing and began her career as a nurse in labor and delivery. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, is a Trustee for the Florida Hospital Association Board of Trustees, Chair for the Florida Hospital Association Workforce Committee, Representative on the Orlando Economic Partnership Governors Council, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
