Paula Dearolf is a metric-driven and result-focused revenue cycle executive with 30 years of leadership experience in the physician revenue cycle space. She is passionate about motivating teams, developing talent, and promoting leaders. Her strengths include the ability to develop and implement strategies for growth, revenues, and cost reductions.
Paula currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations for Health Care Financial Services (HCFS) of TeamHealth, one of the nation’s largest revenue cycle operations with more than 2,800 employees. She is responsible for end-to-end revenue cycle operations for more than 25 million annual patient encounters. During her 30 years of experience with Health Care Financial Services, Paula has demonstrated invaluable leadership skills, expertise, and experience across multiple service lines including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, acute/post-acute, and anesthesiology.
Paula possesses a BS in Healthcare Administration from California Coast University and a certification in medical coding from the American Academy of Professional Coders. While she serves on multiple executive and physician-led committees, she is especially grateful for her service on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee where she is a member of the patient experience and clinical outcomes subcommittee and co-chairs the LGBTQ+ Resource Group. Paula resides in Knoxville TN with her spouse and she enjoys spending time with her family.
