Sabrina Coleman brings over 15 years of experience as an attorney and healthcare compliance professional. She is currently serving as Chief Compliance Officer at Clever Care Health Plan, a Medicare Advantage startup health plan in Huntington Beach, CA, where she is responsible for building processes and managing the execution of Regulatory Compliance, Delegation Oversight, Special Investigation, Payment Integrity, and HIPAA Privacy Programs.
She previously served as the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer of PacificSource Health Plans, where she was responsible for administering and managing the enterprise's Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Compliance Program, ensuring that it maintained full compliance with all governmental agencies, including all federal and state regulatory agencies. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Delegation Oversight for L.A. Care Health Plan and as Senior Director of Compliance and Audit Services in an earlier role with that same company.
Coleman’s career also included consulting with the New York State Department of Health on the drafting of regulations and compliance protocols and the oversight of integrated healthcare delivery systems for its DRSIP program, which intended to evolve the way the Medicaid population received care across the state. Coleman previously held various legal and compliance roles with other New York-based organizations and currently serves as an adjunct professor at USC Law teaching compliance and privacy classes.
Coleman earned her Juris Doctorate in Law from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Japanese from Lincoln University, both in Pennsylvania.
