Jennifer M. Paine has more than 20 years of cross-functional experience in global, executive roles in the health care industry. In her current role as Chief Quality Officer for Johnson & Johnson, she is responsible for partnering with regulators, health authorities, and other stakeholders to accelerate innovation from Johnson & Johnson’s pipeline to improve the lives of patients globally.
Prior to her current role, Paine served as Head of Global Regulatory Affairs for Johnson & Johnson MedTech and as Chief Quality and Regulatory Officer at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (Ortho), a global leader of in vitro diagnostics. At Ortho, she was responsible for leading the company’s worldwide quality systems, regulatory affairs, and compliance strategy. Paine also served as Chief Product Portfolio Officer, driving product portfolio strategy and managing R&D, Project Management, and global marketing organizations.
Paine served four years on the AdvaMed Dx Board of Directors, where she also held the role of Regulatory Vice Chair (2014-2019). She was Vice President/President of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Central New Jersey Chapter Board (2017-2019), working to further the impact and advancement of women in healthcare, and she is a member of WBL and Women50.
Paine earned a Master of Science in Zoology from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rhodes College. She holds a Regulatory Affairs Certification from the U.S. Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and a Regulatory Affairs Dual Certificate in Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals. She was named Regulatory Fellow by the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and serves on the RAPS Board of Directors and RAPS Affiliate Board of Directors.
