Our 6-month program includes four live, half-day virtual modules complemented by multiple small-group cohort meetings and networking events.

Understanding Your Value as a Board Candidate
To excel as a board member, you must understand your strengths and how to convey them to the right people in your network. During this module, you’ll learn how to discover your unique value proposition, improve your personal branding, and strategically raise your profile.
Module 3 | December 16, 2024
Finding Board Opportunities and Acing the Interview
Once you have a strong understanding of your value and the board types you’re interested in targeting, this module will teach you how to find potential board roles, approach the interview process, and decide whether an opportunity is right for you or not.
Cohort Meetings
Participants will meet in small groups led by a faculty mentor over the course of the program to focus on the details and receive support, advice, and feedback.

Exploring Board Types and Company Stages
This module will explain what to expect from boards at different company stages—from startup to public—and describe the unique opportunities serving on healthcare nonprofit and advisory boards bring to your career.
Module 4 | January 31, 2025
Becoming an Impactful Board Director
Finding a board role is only the beginning. Our final module will focus on becoming the director you’ve dreamed of: effective, influential, and respected by your peers. You’ll also learn about the expectations and benefits of serving on committees.
Continued Support
Program alumni will be invited to ongoing networking events to ensure long-term support and camaraderie on their journey to a board seat.
