Dr. Eric D. Griggs, affectionately known as “Doc Griggs,” is a renowned physician, educator, and public health advocate whose mission is to empower communities to live healthier lives. With a Bachelor of Arts in English/Pre-professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Griggs has dedicated his career to community and preventative health, health literacy, and accessibility for all.
Dr. Griggs has made significant contributions to public health through his academic and leadership roles. As a former Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, he was instrumental in advancing education for future public health leaders. He currently holds appointments at LSU School of Medicine and Xavier University College of Pharmacy, where his engaging teaching style inspires the next generation of healthcare professionals. Additionally, he serves as Assistant Vice President of Community Health Affairs at Access Health Louisiana, where he designs and implements transformative programs to improve health outcomes in underserved communities.
